"My thoughts-prayers and praise are with everyone at your hospice.  You were there for our family through the most trying of times.  May God bless each of you as you were a blessing to us."

Volunteering

Volunteers are a vital part of our program. We have five types of volunteers:

Direct Care
Direct-Care volunteers are trained to serve patients and families in home environments, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. They provide care for the patients and respite for their family members and caregivers. They run errands and make phone calls, provide light homemaking, prepare simple meals, and provide support to the grieving.

Administrative
Administrative volunteers are trained in answering phones, filing documents, assembling information packets, preparing mailings, making phone calls and assisting with other clerical duties.

Bereavement
Bereavement volunteers receive training similar to that of administrative volunteers, but are also trained to provide support to the grieving, and perform other duties specific to the bereavement program.

Resource
Resource volunteers provide professional expertise according to their specific experience and training. Attorneys, therapists, and cosmetologists are examples of people who might become resource volunteers.

Special Project
Special Project volunteers help with our special flower ministry, clown troupe activities, and annual events. Special Project volunteers may also assist with specific projects such as recognition events, holiday celebrations, craft making, and fundraising events, or projects for patients and families.

We always have opportunities for volunteers. If you are interested in helping, please call our office nearest you.
